Ceydigital was founded in Bandarawela, more than 200 kilometres from Colombo, on a simple conviction: good software engineering does not have to happen in a capital city. Today we are a multidisciplinary product engineering team working with clients in Sri Lanka and around the world.
What drives us
Making complex things simple to use
Our work starts from a belief that technology should be easy to understand and easy to use — and that the best way to achieve that is careful engineering behind the scenes. Whether we are building a SaaS platform, a mobile game or a reporting system for a provincial ministry, the goal is the same: remove complexity for the people who rely on the software every day.
Building and running our own products — Worklenz and the CeyGames titles — keeps us close to real users, real support requests and real infrastructure costs. That experience shapes the advice and the engineering we bring to clients.
Our story
From a point-of-sale system to open-source SaaS
- 2012
Founded in Bandarawela
Ceydigital starts in Bandarawela with an aim to grow the software industry beyond Colombo. Its first release is a point-of-sale system.
- 2014
Systems for regional industry
Software for tea- and milk-collection operations in the region.
- 2016–18
Products and games
A move to a new office and the first mobile game, Omi — today past 500,000 downloads on Google Play.
- 2021
Public-sector delivery
A vaccination management system, built with the Badulla District Secretariat, supports the district’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
- 2022–24
SaaS at scale
Worklenz, a project-management platform built in-house, is released as open source and passes 3,000 stars on GitHub.

Product engineering partner
A multidisciplinary team building SaaS platforms, web and mobile applications, games, and data and AI-assisted systems for clients in Sri Lanka and abroad.
